Dr. Wang is a highly accomplished researcher, educator, and innovator whose work has significantly advanced the development of next-generation energy technologies. He earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University and has established an impressive academic career characterized by scientific excellence, technological innovation, and international collaboration.
As an IEEE Senior Member and a cultivation object of Jiangsu Province’s prestigious Sixth “333 High-Level Talent Training Project,” Dr. Wang has demonstrated sustained leadership in research and engineering innovation. His expertise spans electromagnetic field computation, energy harvesting, and novel wireless power transfer systems, contributing to more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wang has achieved remarkable research productivity, participating in 26 research projects, 21 consultancy and industry collaborations, publishing 35 scientific journal articles, authoring two books, and securing 32 patents. His scholarly influence is further reflected through his editorial contributions as an Editorial Board Member and Guest Editor for internationally recognized scientific journals.
One of Dr. Wang’s notable research achievements involves the development of an innovative wireless power transfer topology and a Quasi-Constant-Power Constant-Voltage (QCP-CV) charging strategy. This breakthrough addresses power fluctuation challenges commonly found in conventional wireless charging systems. By stabilizing output power and significantly reducing charging power fluctuations by approximately 80%, his research offers practical solutions for improving charging efficiency, reducing energy loss, and enhancing economic performance in wireless energy systems.
Dr. Wang's contributions have received widespread recognition through numerous prestigious honors, including a Second Prize Award for Scientific Research and Technological Invention from China's Ministry of Education and a Gold Award at the Geneva International Invention Exhibition 2023. These achievements highlight the global significance and practical impact of his research innovations.
In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Wang actively contributes to the advancement of the scientific community through professional service and collaboration. He serves as a Guest Researcher at the State Key Laboratory for Smart Grid Protection and Operation Control, participates as an expert in national energy science committees, and holds leadership responsibilities within the IEEE Power & Energy Society (China).
